RCAHS-Public Health Delegation Visits NIH

A delegation from the Rehman College of Allied Health Sciences-Public Health (RCAHS-Public Health) recently visited the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Islamabad. The delegation was warmly received by Mr. Wahid Alam, a respected Senior Research Officer at NIH.

During the visit, the delegation had the opportunity to explore several departments at NIH, including the Public Health Laboratories Division, the Public Analyst Laboratory for Food Quality Control (which serves as the Focal Point for the WHO Food Safety Program), the Anti-Microbial Resistance department, the Malaria Control Program, the National AIDS Control Program, and the National TB Control Program.

The delegation was given presentations by experts from each department, and they had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the latest research and developments in public health. The visit also provided a valuable opportunity for networking with other professionals in the field.

The delegation was impressed by the work being done at NIH, and they expressed their gratitude to Mr. Alam and the other staff members for their hospitality. They said that the visit had been a valuable learning experience, and they were excited to share what they had learned with their colleagues and students.
