RCAHS Signs Training Partnership with Kulsum International Hospital
Rehman College of Allied Health Sciences (RCAHS) has formalized a clinical training agreement with Kulsum International Hospital in Islamabad, opening new avenues for hands-on medical education in Pakistan’s capital.
The memorandum of understanding, signed this week, will allow elective students from RCAHS to train in five core departments at the hospital—medical laboratory technology, cardiology, anesthesia, radiology, and surgical technology. The partnership is expected to link classroom theory with patient-centered clinical practice, a step many educators believe is critical for producing competent healthcare professionals.
Officials from both institutions were present at the signing ceremony. Among them were Dr. Muntazir Shah, Director of Operations at Kulsum; Mr. Imran Nabi, Director of Human Resources; and the hospital’s Nursing Manager. Representing RCAHS were Vice Principal Muhammad Danish, MLT Coordinator Farooq Ur Rehman, and Ajmal Mashwani, the cardiology program’s focal person.
The agreement reflects a growing trend among Pakistani medical colleges to seek structured hospital partnerships, aiming to better equip students for a healthcare system under pressure to modernize.
